Brooke Houck is a researcher in educational measurement and assessment and the founder of CairnCareers. Brooke wrote the methodology behind the AI-exposure score, the sample roadmap, and the four comparison pages on this site, and is the person to contact when a source or a number on them looks wrong.

Because that is the standard in measurement research. In Brooke's field, you do not publish a number without showing where it came from, so every source behind the AI-exposure score is named and linked on the methodology page, and every number on the dashboard carries a footnote.
“I built CairnCareers because I kept getting annoyed. Every week there was a new headline about which jobs AI would wipe out, and almost none of them said how they knew. When I traced the claims back, most rested on a job title and a guess. In my field you do not get to publish a number without showing where it came from. Students are making one of the most expensive decisions of their lives on claims that would not survive peer review, and they deserve the standard I am held to.”
